Plamen Barun 1 is a wood-burning fireplace insert for a purpose-built fireplace surround. It lets the fireplace become an integrated feature of the room, with the final appearance shaped by the installation and surrounding materials.

The listed nominal heat output is 8.6 kW. Use the nominal rating when comparing models for everyday heating; maximum output, where stated, is a different measure and should not replace a heat-loss calculation.

The space a stove can heat depends on insulation, ceiling height, windows and how rooms connect. A higher kW rating is not automatically a better choice. Matching the output to your home helps you choose a stove that suits the way you live.

The manufacturer states a maximum log length of 50 cm. This is useful when choosing firewood and comparing the model with stoves that have a shorter combustion chamber.

Barun 1 is intended for a built-in fireplace project with a decorative masonry surround. The 750 × 500 × 620 mm dimensions describe the appliance, not the completed fireplace. Plan the surround, ventilation, access for servicing and 180 mm flue connection with the installer. Its 560 × 350 mm loading opening and 50 cm maximum log length help you assess everyday loading.

Plan the installation before you order

The listed flue connection diameter is Ø180 mm. This is a starting point for checking chimney compatibility; the required draught, connection arrangement and local installation rules also matter.

The listed appliance weight is 125 kg. Check access through doors and any steps on the delivery route, and make sure the supporting floor and hearth are suitable.

Have a qualified installer check the chimney, combustion-air supply, floor protection and the manufacturer’s clearances. Appliance dimensions alone do not establish a safe installation position. Keep the operating instructions for future use and maintenance.
